Toledo, Ohio

UToledo combines a beautiful campus of modern amenities and historic charm in one of Toledo's best residential neighborhoods, with an affordable, medium-sized metropolitan city nearby.

The city of Toledo not only provides many internship and job opportunities at large and small businesses, but ample options for having fun with friends outside the classroom.

From the Toledo Museum of Art and the Toledo Zoo, to local sports, outdoor activities, a thriving live music scene and more, Toledo offers activities for any interest.

Toledo is also near to several major cities, including Chicago (four hours west), Detroit (one hour north), Indianapolis (three and a half hours southwest) and even Toronto (five hours northeast). Transportation is close and affordable - with a nearby airport, train station and free bus service to take students all over the city.

The area offers more than just an unforgettable student experience. Many students stay in the Toledo area after they graduate because the region offers plenty of job options and an affordable lifestyle.

''I'm so glad I picked UToledo. It has an amazing co-op program, and [faculty and staff] always pushed us to find the best opportunities out there. I joined a research program as a freshman...and part-time jobs helped me improve my communication skills. When I went to my first career fair as a sophomore, I had the soft skills to answer the behavioural interview questions and the technical skills because of research.''
