Learning at Ryerson University is innovative and impactful. Many of its 62 bachelor?s programs are available only at Ryerson, and students can pair them with more than 50 specialized minors to tailor their education to their interests and future career path. Also, more than 55 graduate programs are available for students to pursue their education beyond bachelors. From biomedical sciences, to creative industries, to entrepreneurship and strategy, programs are unique and relevant. Students begin building their career the moment they enter the classroom. Possible minors include business essentials, criminology, environment and urban sustainability, global management, global politics and development, law, professional communication, real estate management, social innovation and many more.
Ryerson has pioneered a unique experiential program called zone learning, a great complement to student courses with the opportunity to earn an additional credential on their transcript. Students will work with like-minded students from diverse disciplines and community groups.
The campus community includes international students from over 146 countries. The university is rich with diversity of perspectives, cultures and opportunities. In the classroom, that means students will be surrounded by different opinions and backgrounds to help shape their world view. They will also find opportunities to engage in international learning experiences.
The university boasts some of the most impressive athletics facilities in Toronto. Students with their friends can sign up for intramurals, cheer on Rams sports teams (including the U SPORTS national champion women?s volleyball team) or work out at one of fitness facilities. They can even skate under the soaring roof at the Mattamy Athletic Centre, formerly known as Maple Leaf Gardens.
Ryerson?s campus is located in the heart of the most dynamic city in Canada. Toronto has been ranked the safest city in North America, the best city in the world to live 1 and also a top city for young people, thanks to its openness and diversity and its brimming tech and start-up sectors.
